Question Isn't this a steal? 84 911 Turbo in JAX FL?

Hello Turbo owners...
Thought I'd pass along something I saw on Autotrader today...looked like it was worthy of attention - no affiliation whatsoever. Even if it turns out to be a "turbo look" price seems somewhat low...
Best,
TUK

It's a ROW car, but that price does seem to be low if it really is in excellent condition IMHO.

I don't think it is necessarily low - it is not a Turbo and we don't know the miles. It's only 69 miles from you - go check it out. If it is low miles and truly excellent condition, it would make a great car.

Hpw do you know its a ROW car?

I read it as a Turbo, not just Turbo body. That's why I said low.

The '84 year Turbo model was not imported to the US, thus the ROW. They didn't start back up until '86 I believe.

Option 491 is actually M491. This is an official "Factory Turbo Look" 911. Basically the M491 cars are supposed to be identical down to the last bolt as a 930 with the exception of no turbocharger/intercooler in the rear and the Turbo badging. Cool cars. 930 suspension, rims, spoiler, you name it. From what I understand only 1600 were built for world consumption. They are rare because the FTL option was like 75% of the price of moving up from an NA to a 930 so most people just got the 930. I know you could get the Carrera script on the back but I dont know if its technically a Carrera or not. The 930s used to be Turbo Carreras but I dont think the 930 was considered a Carrera later on? What constitutes a Carrera? Any 911 coupe or only non Turbo 911 coupes?

No miles listed either. Could be 10,000 could be 100,000. Price seems in the ballpark given that rather significant unknown. ROW cars can be good deals if you know what you are getting into and the feds dont hassle you on emissions etc etc.
