Can 930 intercooler be adapted to 965?

I've been think about upgrading my stock 3.6L C2 intercooler but the prices are pretty steep for the small results you get back. While I was in my basement this morning I came across a like new Garretson intercooler for a 3.3L 930. While I remembered I had it, I didn't remember how much larger (thicker) it was compared to my C2 intercooler. I have to assume it would be an upgrade over the C2 intercooler. Since I already own it I was wondering if there's any easy way of using the 930 intercoolers on the 965 engines. The inlet is different on these... any ideas???

Better how? By looking at the two, the core of the Garretson is about twice as thick and the face isn't much smaller so with measuring the two I'd have to think the aftermarket is more efficient. Am I missing something???

I'm not an expert but from my findings core size is no way to judge an I.C.. there are many more factors to consider. Maybe Steve from rennsport or Steven from Imagine can chime on in on this. Just keep in mind that ruf had no problem sticking with the factory I.C. when he was doing 965's.

The 965 is a more efficent core than the core used on the 3.3. That would be different if it was a 965 recored Garrett. The 965 is the better of the setups in this case.
