Best places to buy a 930
Are there any particular independent dealers known for selling 930's?
Online auctions (pcarmarket, BaT, collecting cars) seem to be all the rave but I haven't been able to bite the bullet. Maybe I'm old school but not getting a test drive or PPI scares me.
Beverly Hills Car Club seems to always have a few but not sure of their reputation, if anyone has any experience or advice.
Thanks.

I wouldn't fear BaT, as long as you are willing to watch closely and most importantly, TRAVEL to see the car. In most cases, as long as you are early, you can arrange a PPI and a test drive. I've bought two cars on BaT, and both experiences where seamless. The only drawback I can see to BaT is that its a competitive auction...meaning that after you travel, inspect, and approve, you can be wildly outbid by anyone at any time. Like any auction, sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you...

Holt Motorsports and Sloan Motors are two that sell a lot of classic Porsche. You can also look at Merit Partners, Switchcars, Columbia Valley Luxury Cars. Just some names that may not have a car but may be able to find you one.
Regarding BAT, I always need to see a car in person prior to buying. Or at least prior to sending the money so I know it's as represented. I guess worst case, car is not as described and you either lose the $5k or less fee, or could even try and go after BAT for that. Ideally a good seller would get a PPI prior to listing.
