Is there a VIN tag on the windshield of a eurospec?

Is there a VIN tag on the windshield of a eurospec?
I was recently looking at one that didn't have the VIN on the windshield. I assume this is just because its a eurospec? It still had the VIN on the buildersplate in the doorjam.
I am likely going to import a eurospec vehicle from US to Canada and just wanted to confirm that there is in fact no VIN located on the windshield, as if there is supposed to be one there and its missing that would likely cause problems...

My 1981 Euro 930 has an engraved aluminum VIN plate on top of the dash. It is at the base of the windshield on the driver's side and was installed by the importer of the car. The ROW cars didn't come with a VIN tag in that location from the factory, at least not in 1981.

Hmm thanks guys. Ill have to check as I didn't notice one on the dash. The dash was in fairly rough shape though.

They did not have them in 1979 but should have been added if correctly federalized.

As delivered into the ROW market 74-89 911 models only have the stamped aluminium plate on the inside of the trunk and a stamped (into the sheet metal) number on the right hand side of the trunk floor up by the "smuggler's box" There are other production numbers stamped in non-visible (with trim installed) areas. Any other numbers, stickers or VIN plates were installed by either DMV, federalising companies or someone else.
