Default About to pull the trigger on a mint first gen 930

I sourced out a private sale pristine specimen (which I will keep confidential for the moment as I don't want to lose it) is concourse quality, all #'s matching, fully updated in every regard, COA, etc.
Based on your buying/selling experiences and the current market; what is considered a reasonable price range? I know this sounds nebulous, but please throw me some feedback and opinions re a very high quality car if you will.

thanks

Since you leave out a lot of specifics, color, options, original paint, etc....but say it’s true concours then 90-130k. Make sure you drive it a bit to wear you are comfortable, I had a 79 that damned near killed me a couple times.

other details: original paint in great condition, complete engine rebuild. the car is absolutely perfect. they want north of 130, though. Are they truly worth that much?

pretty sure I can tame this beast coming from previously owning a 2008 GT2 with an ECU flash having over 700 HP; the modern widow maker and successor to the original 930 widow maker

While the market has softened a bit, my guess is - and not seeing pics, nor history, etc. - over $130K certainly isn't unreasonable for a '79 as you describe. I'd look at all the market data available (BaT, Hagerty, Pelican Forums, etc.). My personal datapoint is that I was offered $125K cash for my '88 last year - and while all original with very minor suspension upgrades, has seen track time on it's rebuilt engine with 117K miles... Honestly - I think earlier versions are going for more than late 930 versions, from what I can tell.?

Anyway - good luck and keep us posted where this lands for you!
