Default Turbo camshafts

can i fit post 1984 3.3l turbo camshafts to an earlier model- They have same data, lift duration etc, but different numbers.

930.105.142.00, 1978-1983
930.105.142.01, 1984-1989
also avaliable
930.105.142.03, 1984-1989

(right cam number only)

Anyone knows the real differece?

The difference would have been in the nose of the cam. How it bolts on. The earlier versions were secured with large nuts, and the later was a bolt. You can update, but should also update the rollers and tensioners as well. They can be used.

Thanks for that, makes sense. What do i have to change in order to upgrade? Would it be costly to do?

No it would be to bad in cost of you found the parts used. The bolts through Porsche and washers are not that bad. The chain wheel and support were different, but can be spaced out rather than replaced with billet spacers. I think these are a whomping 5.00 each.
