Default Does your 930 throw fire

I am very close to getting the catbypass pipe for my C2T. I already have B&B headers so this will be a pretty free flowing exhaust and should throw some flames.

Do you like your 930 throwing flames? Does it dammage the back bumper at all?

Is the car to loud? Thanks

Ian

Flames at each hard shift, with an occasional fireball or two.

Yes, lots of flamage.

Just made a straight pipe last weekend. Can't wait to track it at VIR in a couple of weeks and see what come out. :O

I love fireballs out the tail.....get them with my 951 as well with a straight pipe. Should be better once I get the new exhaust on this week or next.

There is an awesome video online I've seen of a Supra that shoots 3 foot fireballs out....even sitting at idle. Would be great fun for those people at stoplights who get a bit too close

Used to love to catch some guy riding the high speed lane at 65 on a dark night with my old 930 DE/street car. Grab third and wind it out and shift just when his wind shield was even with the pipes.
Guess I'm still a kid at hart!

I do the same... they slow down pretty quick, probably to see if the rest burns

Flame on

I don't see any flames there???

John

BTW: My testing showed a 10hp drop with a dump pipe over a free flowing muffler (slight backpressure). Have you guys tested the pipe?

I was referring the the straight pipe. I also have a B&B muffler in my garage and there is no comparison between the dump pipe and the muffler. The dump pipe feels like an honest 50hp more on the street. On a turbo car the actual turbo provides all the back pressure needed and there is nothing that will maximize hp like a dump pipe off the turbo. I raced a modded 993tt on the freeway last weekend and was dead even with him and my mods are only B&B Headers, K27, 962 WG at .9 bar, and the dump pipe. For $225 its a lot of gain for the $$.
