Spark plug wire replacement
Just finished replacing the plug wires on my '87 930. Before taking the wires out, I marked on a piece of paper the location of each wire from thedistribtuor cap. Can't find the paper now. The cap has a marking that has a "1" stamped on it. Is that the location of the #1 wire? I can remember the clockwise order of the wires, but cannot remember the exact location of #1. Help.

There should be a sticker on your sheetmetal right there in front of your engine. It shows the cylinder numbers, distributor rotation and numbers.
