What year(s) 930 have the external brake light?
I'm not sure how to describe it... the brake light on the back side by the tail / window...
I'd prefer to Not have it... Is it removable? Just curious which cars it came on during 1986-1989 ???

interesting you should ask about this, too. I have the internal box which blocks your rear view (for cops, of course). I found this part thru many web sites (Pelican) searches on a 3rd light in an attractive package and out of the way.
Only problem is cost... this is $299, but needs painting too.
I've ordered a 12" red strip from a custom motorcycle shop (12" x 1" x 1") which may be small/ thin enough to fit up top, externally and wire into the original harness internally by fishing the wire through the grommet. If not successful, I'll install the 3rd light to my MG which does not have any 3rd brake light.

Burning Brakes
From all the research I've done in the past. 86 started the inside 3rd brake light. 87 was outside on rear spoilerr deck. 88-89 went back to inside. I'm not sure why they did this. I tried looking for a reason for this as well.
