Speedometer 160mph or 180mph 1989 Turbo?
Hi,
Im buying a 1989 930 911 Turbo, with spedo 180mph. (Car is the US-model). Is this originally the correct one, an extra option - or is this an after market? Is the original actually the one with 160mph with small kph?
Please advice

That is NOT the original speedometer/odometer for a 1989 US market 930. As such make sure you understand unless it has documentation showing the change and actual mileage then the car would be considered “True Miles Uknown” or TMU so make sure the price reflects that.

Should be 180. The max speed of the car is over 160 even in US spec. Looks correct to me in all respects. Bezel , markings on dial. You would not expect Kph on US spec car.

pretty sure US spec cars had Kph. But European spec cars don't have MPH. 964's then got bumped to 180 (still displayed Kph)

Just got all clear with this matter.
White line is only Speedos between years 1980-1986. If there is a white line speedo in a 1987-1989 it has been replaced.
Also, - the correct year shows in the stamped triangle of the back of the speedo.
thanks all!
