Question Air injection system

What are the pros and cons of having the air injection system removed from a 1988 - 930 engine? Thanks.

One thing less to suck away power and break. Took off the system on my 86 930 with no problem..

The pros, if you live in an area where they check you will have to have it. If not then the cons are it causes the exhaust to run hotter and the added weight. It is a band-aid anyway. You could stick a hair dryer in the exhaust and do the same thing

Is that if it's working or just in place for looks? Mine has no belt, but it's still in place. TIA!

I cringe everytime I get a car in for a PPI and it has the pump. Argh, they are in the way and 90% of them are almost never hooked up and still pass the sniff test. LOL, whats that tell ya?

I just left mine on for a visual. I've had many cars where I've removed all kinds of emmisions stuff, only to find out I don't know where it all goes back on.

The pump and manifold would be easy, but it's one more thing to store...And I have a garage full already.
