Removing the rotating weight of the pressure plate makes this car so quick that it is not to be believed. The big issue I have in the first two gears is trying to not spin the tires. I have run Yokohama AVS 235/35 and still spin the tires in first and second.

I was hitting consistant mid 13 sec. runs. On this run it was like I was dancing with the car instead of fighting it and the time made some rice burners chin hit the dirt.

One other BRAG about this car is that in the last DE I drove at Hallett OK motor speed way I drove a 1.31 lap. But keep in ming that I went for a ride across the grass on the next lap.

I love this car

so it was a 12.8 at 103 then? My best time at the strip was a 13.9 at 110.
everyone said i should be in the high 12's with that mph but i dunno . I had everything done to my car and was really hoping for a low 12's, high 11's time but i cant launch for crap. my other time is a consistent 1:36 at mid-ohio...but thats in a 125 shifter kart.

Your 0-60ft time was too slow. I had a trap speed of 120mph but only ran a 12.9 because my 0-60ft time was 2.6sec.

Brent,
About how much rwhp was your car at when you trapped 120mph?

Around 440rwhp at the time. I'm now maxed out at 455rwhp.

brent, whats your mod sheet look like?...
I've got heads, cams, intake, exhaust, turbo, etc.etc. all the stuff that was supposed to get me over 400 at the ground and i can only get 110 thru the .25? I thought I'd be clicking off speeds more like you are.

With that much power you should be trapping in the 130's. The Ruf CTR had 469hp and trapped 133mph. Your car is making almost that to the ground. If you don't mind, e-mail me the list of mods you have done, zpruett@***.net . I'm interested in getting my car around 400rwhp and not sure what I should do next. My car so far has B&B headers, K27, Tial 46mm WG, Dump pipe off the turbo, and a manual boost controller. Thanks!

ZLP,

For comparission, the RUF CTR 3.4 is roomered to put out over 500 fwhp (425rwhp.) with boost turned up to 1.3 bar, if I recall.

Brent has one of the best tuned 3.3 CIS single plug turbos ever w a lots of specal effort on fuel delivery, heat management using coatings, and cleaning up & balancing the intake tract!

Do note that testing at 5000 ft gets a benefitial correction factor from a Dynojet. It may not be fair to compare internet HP numbers, but it sure looks good on a Dyno Sheet.

Gears (CTR geared for top speed runs), weight (CTR 400 lbs +/- less) & lanch should have an effect in time's also.

Brent, have you run the 1/4 with your lower diff & the new motor dialed in? Bet you are much faster now!

All you need is a launch contol modual that keeps rpms at 3300 till you let the clutch out all the way!!!

I did not realize that he is at such a high altitude. A better question would be what are your UNcorrected dyno numbers?

The key word here is "uncorrected"

Even so, don't forget the air is pretty thin at 5000 ft and an uncorrected number at 5000 ft is 'not' comparable to an uncorected number at sea level.

He also has a torque curve that is almost as flat as a table, full boost earlyer than most CIS big turbo cars can achive, and safe air/fuel ratios some EFI guys might envy!

Nice job Brent!
