A location might not be a bad thing. I can recommend a shop here in the Seattle area but if you're in New York that might not work so well.

Title says Charlotte area so I a thinking near Charlotte? Zuffenhaus is located there. If they will not I am sure they could point you in the right direction

c4sdave, Zuffenhaus in Monroe is top notch - Aaron has worked on my cars for about 15 years. If dealer is your preference then Hendrick is only Charlotte option. Jim Burton is lead mechanic at Hendrick and probably does most of their air-cooled work. He is an exceptional mechanic, honest and thorough - INSIST that he does the inspection if you go that route.
