Default drip pan to keep oil off of H.E.s

I have a small oil leak dripping onto the driver's side H.E. To keep smoke from blowing into the cabin, I've made a drip catch pan of aluminum which covers the heat exchanger and hopefully shields the tender 2.7 block and heads from some radiated heat coming off the H.E. Any thoughts out there if this will interfere with cooling? There is approximately 2 cm clearance for air flow at the point where the H.E. bolts to the head and the clearance increases toward the outside of the H.E. as the drip pan follows its contour to the outside of the car. This is just a short term fix until I have a more compelling reason to pull the engine. I'm guessing the oil is leaking from a cylinder sealing ring. Thanks for any feedback.

These seem to work quite well as good looking oil gutters

Thanks for the feedback. The heet sheet looks about like what I fabricated. I also realized that my fix doesn't extend into the area of the cylinder fins, so the air flow around there just like stock.
