Hello everyone, I just purchased my first 911. I have been in love with cars ever since the BMW 325is 5 speed I purchased as a teenager. My love for BMWs has been strong for over 15 years but in my mid twenties I was introduced to the 911 and have been yearning for one ever since. There where several occasions in the past 4 years that I found a 911 within my grasp and somehow they slipped through my hands every time.
This last weekend I was visiting my good friend who is also the creator of the Der Faszination film series ( http://www.derfaszination.com ). The series is about the fascination with air-cooled Porsches so as you can imagine I spent the weekend driving the very cars I have been longing for. It didn't take much to put me back on the search for a 911 again. I began scouring craigslist and eBay and found some interesting options but it wasn't till my best friend from childhood texted me that I knew I was doing the right thing.
After literally spending two days searching, my phone lights up and it reads "do you know anyone that would be interested in a 79 911sc". I am the car guy amongst my childhood friends so my Buddy of 27 years thought to hit me up first when his uncle had mentioned selling his car.
This gentleman has known me since I was 7 year old, there are pictures of his mother and I at their beach home framed on the wall. Walking into a car purchasing situation where you know you can trust the seller is very unique experience especially when its a 911.
We spoke for a couple hours and the next thing I knew I owned a Porsche!
