Default 1972 911T - Power Loss above 5500 RPM

Running a '72 911T mod to RSR, stock 2.4L engine. Recently participated in a DE event and noted power loss above 5500 RPM. I am pretty sure my alternator requires replacement and know that injector #5 is not fully holding pressure at rest. Am wondering is either might be contributing to the reduced power at higher revs or if I might have other issues. Any thoughts?

I'd be suspicious of the points and timing advance springs, plug gap, or even fuel quality.....but I'm just guessing at what kind of spark delivery was used back then. Maybe the vacuum advance isn't working or it's leaning out too much. Who knows?....

Seems like Early S Registry forum may be your friend.

Check the rotor. If it is a stock rpm limiting unit the spring may be stretching. Try a new one.
