993 carrera 2 or 2007 997 gt3
Hi to all
I am new to this forum and joined as I am hoping to get some advice on the below.
I am looking to buy a 1995 porsche carrera 993 carrera 2 (100km)or a 2007 gt3 (116km).They are both in the same price
I love the 993 and it's history but would also like to.consider the potential future value.
would greatly appreciate any advice on which one would be
the better buy.
Thank you all in advance

Buy it to drive it, and don't worry about what it's going to be worth in 3,5,25 years. Odds are you won't lose on either. Speculation is for real estate and the stock market
Drive them both, buy the one you enjoy more.

dude not even a question. GT3 of ANY generation.
I love my air cooled cars but if I had to keep ONE it would be the GT3. Now, if you said "993 RS" or "993 GT2" or something like that... I'd go the other way.

This is a crazy comparison. Totally different cars with completely different appeals. The GT3 is a better car in almost every measurable way but it all matters what you are looking for. I personally have no desire to own a water pumper -- unless it is buying a Panamera for my wife. Not knocking Porsche's newer products at all - they are great. I have toyed with idea a few times but every time I drive them they lack soul -- IMHO.

I think you'll find the 997gt3 has soul in spades.

Thank you all for the response. I'm currently looking at a 993 4s. It's done around 120k but has full porsche history. It has a factory fitted turbo kit which isn't to my liking but I may have that removed myself.
thanks again
thanks again

i find it hard to believe they are in the same price point....
either the 993 is overpriced or the 997 is underpriced.
both are super fun to drive.
if to have just one, the 997GT3 ticks alot of boxes.
