Default RSR wheel look

Hi all,

I'm looking to have wheels painted - well, the petals of the Fuchs painted to give a bit of an rsr look. See attached mock-up of my car with this look...

I need recommendations on a good wheel shop in Atlanta that can do this. Any ideas?

thanks!

Jim

Whoever you find make sure they use Wurth Silver Wheel Paint. It's kinda unanimous that this is the only color ever used by the factory race teams to touch up the wheels between races.

Having said that.....Pelican shipped me this paint years ago and I tried it and love it. You'd never guess my wheels were done with a rattle can.

theres also someone selling a set of 15x7/8 on another forum that would fit your car already done in the RSR finish for $2K

Thanks so much! Can I see a pic of your car/wheels? Can you describe the steps you took to do the job?

Here you go. I have zero affiliation with the seller. Just passing on a good deal for what you are looking for. Tires alone are worth $400.

LOL. They haven't sold because "glass beaded" isn't the method used to achieve the RSR look. As much as we'd like to believe it, the look is achieved with a frosted silver paint like Wurth. If you look closely at the pictures you can see that glass beading leaves the wheel cloudy and blotchy and very inconsistent in color. Change the angle of your nozzle by just a few degrees completely changes the blast pattern and that changed how light reflects off of it. Sorry.....
