Completed the deal just now, my 987.2 Cayman S for an '82 911 SC Euro. Needs a little work here and there. I've got a lot to learn. Wish me luck. The whale tail appears to be factory installed - possible? I'll be ordering a CoA soon.

Paint is indeed a little mixed on the doors, though the lights/photo has exaggerated the situation for the second photo.

CONGRATS! I turned in my 2014 Cayman lease last month and purchased a 1978 Porsche 911 SC. I could not be happier. I had Cayman S models, Boxster S and the base car I just left. All of them were wonderful cars, but there was always something missing and the feeling increased with every new model. They just started to all feel somewhat bland and generic. Too much plastic and way too much technology. Somewhere between the Model T and the Tesla is a super sweet spot. I believe its the SC that is a perfect happy medium. That engine sound and those looks are tough to beat.

Congrats and hope you enjoy the raw driving experience of your SC.
I'm only knowledgeable on Weissach models (1980) which came with the "baby" lightweight whaletail, either way it looks good on your coupe.
Enjoy.

For the SC the Turbo tail was available as an option from the factory. For the 84-89 Carrera you had to go Turbo look for the Turbo tail otherwise you could get the other thinner tail.

It was definitely an option. My '82 SC has a factory turbo tail as noted on my COA.
