Default Rotor Noise

Hey guys,
Air cooled newbie.

My car recently started making a noise that I could hear on slow speed from the front left tire.
I thought my front bearings where grinding, there is a little bit of play per my mechanic so I will get them replaced at the next visit.

However, after some research I was going to adjust them.

I took the wheel off and spun it. That is when I noticed the brake pad seems to be grinding on a certain part of the rotor.

Took a video of it. (I know need to clean them up), at the beginning of the video look at the rotor and you can see what appears to an imprint of the brake pad.

It gets more friction at this spot when turning the rotor and I believe this is what is causing my noise.

Here is the video, and I welcome your thoughts and opinions.
What is the cause and what should I do?
THANKS!

you definitely have run out , but I would check that heat shield on the inboard side, make sure it isn't rubbing against the rotor.

Sometimes a small stone gets caught between the heat shield and the rotor, causing a grinding noise.

From the video, it's hard to tell. Doesn't look that bad. But if your bearings are loose, then the rubbing is much worse because the hub will wobble. You can pull the pads and see if they are worn into a wedge shape. I'd check the bearing play with the car on the ground. Grab the tire and rock the car side to side.

I cleaned up the pads and rotors real well and adjusted the bearing nut. Seems to be better for now.
I will be purchasing a brake kit to replace everything and having my local mechanic do the bearings at the next visit.

Thanks all.

Default How's she running?

Did you get the rotor problem fixed? If you had the pads replaced, the piston has to be in the correct rotation position as it has raised and relieved sections to prevent squeal...

Anyway, just wondering if it is still killing bugs fast...

Also, ensure that the spacer ring and O ring are on the spindle. When I replaced front bearings and brakes mine were not there. I understand that I'm not the only one to have learned that an earlier wrench binned these essential parts.
