Default AFR bung location

The fine people at Innovate suggest installing the bung on the typically leaner bank of cylinders - best to err on the side of caution.
So, does my stock '74 with CIS have a typically lean side? Driver or Passenger (left or right) and how close to the muffler inlet?
Photos of an install with '74 type headers would be swell.
Thanks.

Is this for a permanent installation, or for a tester?

I installed mine at a collection point where the two sides meet. You want to be upstream of any catalytic or smog equipment. I wonder if they are joking about a "leaner" side.

Permanent.
Car is a '74 so no catalytic or smog gear. My Exhaust is original 2in 1out so I have to choose either the right or left header. Their comment was generic - I suppose some cars can have different heat / intake / mixture readings from bank to bank. I've never heard of it before on a Porsche, but figured I'd ask, as there are many things in the world I don't know...
