In case someone is interested, then here is an interesting

E.g. it shows how DaimlerCrysler, Dodge, Jeep, AMG, Mitsubishi
and Hyundai are connected. It also has links to the respective

Interesting but does not tell the whole story as it does not highlight links between companies in the form of joint ventures (one that come to mind is the one between Mercedes and Porsche to design folding roofs) and level one suppliers who provide components and more importantly now complete assemblies to manufacturers. Will we find the same basic front end in a MB a BMW and a Porsche one day? Probably.
