Just an update on the progress of these builds. I have 2 of the cars at the paint shop now, one is in the metal work phase and number 4 is getting stripped of all the undercoating so it can go for media blast in a week or so. I originally was going to do one, then two, then three and now I've started the fourth. There has been a lot of interest in them and I think a lot more interest as they move along. I'm hoping to sell three of them. Will have to find that niche that will pay up as they haven't been cheap to build!! I've chosen 3 0f the colors, the 4th is yet to be decided.

That’s the awesome thing about our cars. Such rare colours. I don’t think I’ve seen another of my colour in person

I have 3 cars at the paint shop!. One is Gulf themed, one is Gelb Green and the third is a tribute to the 917 "hippie" car. One more is still in metal work doing a Mary Stuart tribute. Picture updates soon.

man! Just awesome. And the process is helpful to would be buyers.

I am currently having two 1969 911T restored. One to keep, and one to sell.

I was going to stop work on the car I am selling once all the metal is completed. I was thinking a potential buyer would like to see the actual metal before it is masked with paint. (I have been documenting it with photos however). And perhaps a buyer would rather paint it a different color then COA color.

I almost want to finish it now. Considering you are finishing all your cars!

You are right, when you have the skilled labour ready to work, you sometimes just gotta run with it.

Last day of the year and the FIRST time I have run across this thread...
The RSR builds on this thread are INSPIRATIONAL!
The Singer Cars (Rob Dickinson) are in a class by themselves.
You have now created your own class - this work is being done at a professional restoration level.
These cars are at the top of their class from what I have seen during the last hour I been going thru this thread.
The Rothsport Engines will make these cars even more special.

Congratulations to all that are making this happen!!!

I've been working on the design for the "hippie" version I'm doing, mimicking the great 917 Hippie car of it's day. My friend Freeman Thomas is helping with the design. First rough sk
etch!!

Love these so much. One of the best builds of any car I've seen in a long time. Im guessing you were using an english wheel for the shaping of the fenders? What did you use for the aluminum front trunk lid? I have a lot more experience using the wheel for steel as I grew up in my dads custom shop building lead sleds which did not use to much aluminum.

Super excited to see the Hippie based designed!
