Default WTB: 87-89 3.2

Hello,
I am looking to purchase a 87-89 3.2 either coupe or targa.
If you have one, let me know what you are looking to get for it and some detail.

I would prefer something with a solid history and no accidents. Higher mileage is OK if the maintenance has been done.

Feel free to PM me.
Thank you

Default Rennlist classifieds worked well for me...

The search function lets you look at just the model years and model types you choose.

Thanks.
Am continuing to monitor the for sale section but thought to post here as well.

Not too picky about colour or the specific year within the range.

There are a couple VERY nice looking (and I feel fairly priced) examples on Pelican's site.

Spyerx, can you post what you think are nice looking fairly priced examples you saw?

I'm not even seeing anything under $40k
These are the only things that come close to not crack pipe asking.

Under $40? :-) Not for a clean / needs nothing G50. Closer to 50 there are some out there.

IMO from searching websites, etc for the last few years - Be prepared to pay at least $40k for an 84 to 86 and at least $50k for a G50 unless higher miles like 100+ in good condition with the maintenance history you mentioned for Coupes. Targa will be less for sure.
There are always those great finds out there if you are patient and with some luck and timing. I am meeting folks at cars and coffee and talking with Porsche owners with higher miles G50s and either they will not sell due to price appreciation even for higher miles cars or the prices are always above $50k or even closer to $60 since the 964s have been pulling the market up.
Good luck and enjoy your search.

Good to hear Chris. My '89 is worth close to $8K more.

+1 on the G50 market appreciating big time the past 6 months, and low inventory. 45-55k these days. Over 60k if under 60k miles

140k miles, a respray and a guaranteed top end rebuild if it hasn't been done already. Mid 30s is probably in the ballpark. The top end is a 10-15k, so you're going to want a really good ppi and leakdown.

The $36k car has not sold for one simple reason: No Fuchs!
That is the equivalent of a totally Reisered car.

Yes, 've coined a new word: Reiser.
A Reiser is someone who rices out a German car. (Reis = rice in German. German nouns are capitalized.)

As others mentioned cant recommend enough about a well known PPI technician/mechanic for any higher miles and lower priced G50, or even a very clean looking '84-'86 since those prices (Coupes) have come up alot in past year.
