Good work guys, lots of good info, and great pictures too!

I think it's easy to see there is no easy and inexpensive exhaust for these cars. I like the idea of a better flowing exhaust, but there is no way I can afford 3-6k for one! For the mean time the Bursch will have to do. I might just get a set of the pre 74 heat exchangers though, except for 1 day every few years that is.

Thanks for the pictures. From the pictures, it looks as though the real benefit of the 993 system is the CAT (I assume its a CAT)under the rear bumper. Perhaps I should have smaller dual mufflers fabricated and plumbed to the larger 993 CAT. Maybe the answer lies in taking the best parts of the 964/993 and coming up with a hybrid that approximates the GLH.
