Default cabin smoke source?

I am experiencing intermittent smoke in the cabin of my 911. It is a brief thick white cloud that comes through the defrost vents. It usually occurs during hard acceleration or left turns. The heat does not have to be on for it to happen. The longer I drive the less it happens. Anyone else experience this or have a suggestion on where to start looking? Any advice greatly appreciated.

It could have to do with oil dripping on your heat exchangers. It is odd though that it would do it with the defrost off though. I would check your heater lines, flapper box etc to see if there are any holes to allow smoke from the engine compartment to enter your car.

It smells like burning oil. The oil level is a little below halfway on the dipstick.

Here is another bit of info. On the way to work yesterday with the heat off it happened a few times. On the way home with the heat on it didn't happen at all. This really confuses me. As I said before it is intermittent and seems to come and go so I think it is just a coincidence.
