Default What does this diode do?

And more importantly, what does it plug into?

1976 911S there are two wires coming out of the loom in the front just under the ventilation unit.
There is a black wire going into a single connector and then comes out of that connector and goes into another single connector where it terminates.

With that black wire there is a brown/ white wire that terminates at this diode.

What do these plug into?

Yes they do.

In the current flow I found the diode in line 79.
The F 9 and F 6 are Parking brake switch and Brake warning switch respectively.
The Colour of the wire to the diode is correct as Brown/ White. (OW)

The other side of the diode seems (according to the diagram) to head to the engine bay 14 fold connector.

I'll have to continuity test down there to find the right black wire
