That car has half the miles of the car in question, and is not a realistic comp.
If you want comps, try to find cars with higher miles

^ $39K seems right for that car, I don't agree with the sales write-up that the '85 is the final iteration of this series of 911's. In '87 these cars were upgraded to the G50, made 217HP and had upgraded headlights. I note there was a respray on parts of the car, cracked splitter and a tear in the driver's seat. I also see the Carrera badge is missing from the rear deck. In person perhaps there's more. And certainly we'd need a PPI on the mechanicals.

Not a great comp since it's got those cup wheels.
But who knows if this car will even sell at $30k

The asking price for the red car is $30k

I misspoke as I was referring to the 74K mile car posted by bloose993TT, the 1985 bat car, agree the pelican car is not a comparable car and at $30K seems problematic, lot's of modifications (were they done right?), not original seats or wheels among other things, seems like it was trying to become a track car, sure a long term PCA member and track instructor but for me it has a lot going on.

Apropos nothing. That car has been tracked to within an inch of its life. All sorts of aggressive mods. If that's a $30k car, the OP is worth $40k.

And unmolested 3.2s for $26k have two rounds of flips priced in. List it at $26k and you'll have an army of curbstoners calling you.

I would say between $35K and $40K

A few high mileage 84-86 Carrera's on Pelican recently sold in the upper 30's.

Thank you JohnDet. et al. Of course, I don't want to sell.
You only live once, and she's the closest I've ever come to having an affair
But other forces are at play.
Will hold on for now I guess.
Thanks all for the input.
