Default 87 Carrera Coupe right rear suspension squeak.

Over bumps and dips that compress the suspension I hear a squeak from the right rear. Gets less when it's warm out and worse when it's cold. Any hints where I might want check and also spray some lithium grease? Suspensions feels fine other wise, but the sound takes the fun away.

What kind of bushings do you have? Are they original? I believe bushings are the typical culprit, especially likely if you have a non-rubber bushing setup.

I get a sound when it's cold out.
Like flip flops rubbing on a wet shower floor.

30 year old rubber is my best guess. time for new bushings regardless -check out Elephant Racing.

Try spraying WD-40 into the areas behind where the spring plate attaches to the torsion bar. Get the little spray tube in all the nooks. It worked for me. Mine sounded like an old couch at grandma's...

Jase.

P.S. I know everyone poo-poos WD-40 for lube and squeaks. But my truck door wouldn't stop making this brutal squeak. I tried everything. Mechanics told me they all have this magic stuff... it would only last 3 days. I bought every type of stuff I could find other than WD-40 because I heard it wasn't good. That it was just a water dispersal agent etc. Finally, I gave up and grabbed a can of WD-40.... hosed the hinge down... opened and closed the door twice. BAM! Been silent for over 2 years now.
