Hi everyone, I am looking for a bit of advice to help me overcome an electrical problem I developed when modifying my 996 MY2000 to take a double DIN stereo.
I managed to move the Climate Control Unit and cabling without incident. However it seems in moving other cables (loom) out of the way I damaged a couple of cables
. These have not been cut right through but 'snicked' showing slight crush damage. This was enough to create a spark and as a result I have lost the following functions:
I temporarily bridged the fuse panel to prove the electric window motors function normally and the instrumentation panel is not dead. Both proved good.
I have checked all fuses in the drivers footwell and only one would appear to have blown - Heater Fan. I have replaced this but am still missing the functions listed above.
I would appreciate any help or advice that you may have.
Thanks and Regards

- No electric windows
- reduced instrumentation (Shows oil pressure only)
- manual Aerofoil button does not function
