Greetings -- I'm looking at a 89' 911 that is an anniversary edition. I can't see much difference -- piping on the seats and a different console. Is the anniversary edition worth much extra (the present owner thinks so)? Any other information on this 911 would be appreciated.

Jeff,
I guess that depends on who you ask! I own an 89 Silver Anniversary Edition and these cars were built to celebrate the 25th year of 911 production. According to Bruce Anderson, they will fetch a 10-20% premium over a "standard" 911. There were 500 built, 300 coupes and 200 cabs - most in the silver metallic color but there were a few painted black metallic as well, I believe. The have, as you said, full leather interior with black piped seats, plush carpet throughout, a turbo-look center console, and color matched Fuchs. You can also search for this topic and find a few threads both here and on Pelican Parts BBS.
Cheers,

I owned a 89 25th @ one time , one of the best Porsche i ever owned. (besides the 93 RSA).
If my wife would let me, i would get another one.
I liked the analog outside temp gauge and the nice leather.
I would not pay more than 25k though , unless the mileage is extremly low.
Most G50 are now going for around 21-22k around indiana (private sale, that is)
Cheers
