Bump...to avoid a re-write. When I say opportunity, I mean that this housing is satisfactory for show car use, and it'll slip smoothly into 1st to drive on to the platform to receive your trophy. Or, you can take your SO out to dinner, and know that you'll never let a valet park your car!

This transmission will fit into a number of 911 models built from 1980 - 1986. For 1985/86 the axle flanges must be replaced using the 108mm flanges from the original trans. It will also fit into earlier cars, 1976 - '79, but might require CV joint/axle modifications. Pre-'76 models will require a speedometer upgrade to an electric unit + wiring.

Hi, ice! Good to hear from you, and really good to know that my Tutorial helped you to get through your repair!

Funny, the trans was sold, and I accepted a substantial deposit, and then life got in the way for the buyer. He couldn't complete the purchase, and, sadly, had to sell his Porsche. The transmission never left my possession, so it is exactly in the condition it was at the conclusion of the Tutorial. I'm currently in the process of returning his deposit. What can I say? Stuff happens.

All the best to you, I hope you've figured out how to make your engine lid stay open without using that hockey stick!
