Phil, that car is really stunning and inspiring. Is that VW silver (my 911E factory color)? My paint plate is in a bag in parts inventory so I can't check the paint code easily but the VW silver is the common name when I looked it up.

This week was the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good is that there was nothing bad hiding under the pan undercoating. Nice clean and rust free metal with a few dents. The bad was finding some really sloppy repairs at the bottom rear of both door jambs. The ugly was the front pan which has several layers of reply bad rust repair, and neither front suspension mount was in exactly the right place. New metal on the way and the chassis goes on the Cellete soon for the metal repairs.

The project has been stalled for a little while waiting for it's turn on the Celette. It is now mounted and making progress again. The flares are tacked on and the sheet metal issues at the rocker panels and front suspension are being addressed. We are also eliminating the passenger side battery box as battery technology is so good you only need one battery to crank the car; the weight delete of the second battery will offset the Carrera oil cooler going in the passenger front wheel well. The airflow to the cooler will also be better minus the box. After 7 months of disassembly we are starting to go the other way. Very exciting!
