A factory stock "3.2L" 95 (bore) X 74.4 (stroke) as delivered on the '84-9 cars.
The "short stroke" term likely was started by Bruce Anderson/Jerry Woods (basically, the Garretson shop) as a way to describe installing the 98mm larger bore P/C set into a stock 70.4 mm stroke SC /3.0 930 engine.

And to be very clear, the 98mm "big bore" kit was specifically made for the 3.0 engine. A factory stock 98mm piston, as installed in the '84-9 cars, uses a larger wrist pin.

Ken would you have to have your spigots rebored to fit the larger cylinder set ?
is this commonly known as the max moritz upgrade or something like that ? or am I confusing it with something else ?
I was looking at something like this for my SC, retaining stock CIS but going with a 964 cam grind and 3.2 lite p/c set up and a set of SSi s
