Default Drive It Home-If Possible, it's half the fun!

I have used two services for transporting vehicles

1987 Porsche 911
It came with a dent in the hood from California to Virginia Beach
(It was not road worthy or I would have driven it)
2013 Tundra from NJ to Florida
It came with road salt and I had to wash it before I could sign off on it
I haven't had any luck with transporters...

All my other cars including my 2002 Turbo from Texas and my 1988 911 from Virginia were driven. I would drive if you could.

Good Luck

Mo,

Intercity Lines will be glad to give you a price quote on your 997 Turbo from TX to CA. Please let us know where in TX to where in TX, we will be glad to send over a Rennlist rate on this move for you.

Whoever you use make sure you check them out on the USDOT web site. If they don't have a USDT number you're dealing with a broker. Brokers don't own trucks. They sell your contract to someone who actually has a truck.

You also want to see a copy of their insurance policy to see if they have cargo insurance.

A lot more here.

I used Reliable (Orange colored trailers advertised on many racing programs) for my 7.1GT3 from Ohio to Philly area. Competitive price and driver extremely meticulous with the handling of my car.
ALso, my car was by far the least valuable on the truck.

I was happy with Intercity a couple of years ago. It was my first time shipping a car across the country, and I was a bit apprehensive for reasons noted in the above comments.

Intercity kept me up to date from pick up in SOCAL to delivery in my neighborhood. Their office was easy to get info from and the driver called me a couple of times from the road.

The driver even used a towel to keep from dripping sweat on the driver's door when loading the car. And my car was not a garage queen, just a great driver with high miles that the driver treated with respect.

All I could ask for.

I had a very good experience with Intercity getting my 911E from rural Vermont to the SF Bay Area. I would/will use them again.
