Default What year was my car built?
Hi trying to find out if my 74 was built in 73 or 74. How do I find out? Does the VIN indicate this?

Yes, it does, what is your VIN ?
The building year is not the Model Year.

VIN indicates 74 Targa model but it could have been made in Autumn 73 although given the VIN serial number perhaps unlikely still good to check date location mentioned earlier in thread.

"Model Year/Type
1988 911 Carrera Cabriolet

Production Completion Date
04/19/1988"

and

"Model Year/Type
2012 Cayman S

Production Completion Date
11/23/2011."
