Default Anyone have a pair or 9x15 Fuchs laying around..?

I've been looking for a pair to match up with my 8x15's for the 67.... I do like my current 7/9x16 set but feel that the 15's would look even better.

Must be ok structurally, though cosmetic condition is less important as they will be refinished.

Please PM me if you have a pair that you would consider selling. Date codes are not important to me.

Thanks

Last set I had I sold for $4000 and they were shipped direct to Wiedman for restoration. That was half a decade ago. Might we worth looking into some of the more recently released reps. Those genuine RSR wheels are sky high these days and I doubt anyone just has then "laying around". Good luck with your search.

I think many 15s have been snapped up by HDPE drivers as they change the final drive ratio on 915/g50 cars.

Would have been good for my '86 Carrera at the Glen, but I never got them

Yeah, these are "unobtanium"... also, they are going on 40 years old... all wheels (even Fuchs) have a limited lifetime...

IMHO, your car looks fantastic as it sits... other than "bragging rights" the 9s won't really add anything. I'd much rather have a factory 8 than a repro 9 (if you can even find them).

Cheers!

Check out Braid Wheels. They make a Fuchs look-a-like in the 15" variety. They can do the normal ET-3 offset for the front and can also make at ET15 for a 9x15 rear fitment (same offset as the 9x16 wheel). Good strong wheel that offers lots of finish options.

Thanks - the 'laying around' reference was tongue in cheek! You're right about OE RSR wheels... I could have bought a set for $5k about 4 years ago

Probably more sets are now on 'ST' tribute cars like mine... I know they're also sought after by early 930 owners trying to return their cars to stock due to spiking values.

Much appreciated. Nothing to do with bragging rights... I just feel that my car will look much better on 15's. The current 16's don't allow me to get the car to the ride height I prefer - see below:

Yes - familiar with Braid wheels & the US rep is local to me. I'm just not keen on the bead around the outer lip. Small detail, but....

I've managed to find a pair of the 'Porsche Classic' 9x15 Fuchs that we manufactured a few years ago (and sold out now). I think I'll go with these as the date codes really mean nothing to me. Ill just have to get over the fact that I'll be having a new set refinished....

I was looking into 11's on this side of the pond and came across these which I believe are the best reproduction ones, not cheap but apparently 1/2 the price of genuine ones - they do 9's too.

EB are generally known as making the best quality FG panels too so is known as a quality brand. I think twinspark is selling their wheel too (not 100%) but they are proper Porsche nuts so if those two are behind the same wheel then it must be good.

How much are you looking to spend for a pair?

These are available new from Porsche for much less than used ones.

I saw the EB Fuchs in the Rothsport booth at RRV - really nicely made & authentic looking. Their RSR brake calipers are stunning...

This would have been a good option.

You would think so considering that they are on the Porsche Classic parts website, though I've made calls to both Sunset and Suncoast & they're not in stock anywhere... Perhaps Porsche will commission another batch from Fuchs in the future, but NLA for now.

What is your source for 15" rubber? Other than Hoosiers, I cannot find anything to fit 15" wheels.

Sure is.

It would take a hell of an offer & the right timing for me to part with a pair, then not sure if I would.

Michelin do a decent classic tyre range in 15 but there is also offering from a host of other manufacturers depending on what size you need.

racerbvd - are we talking single digit $k's or doubles?
