Inner Targa Top
The lining of our Targa top is drooping. I have tried 3M spray and Velcro but still sagging.
ANY ideas or solutions are appreciated.

yeah mine is too . I think many will tell you its because the substrate it is trying to stick to is crumbling . time for a complete rebuild.
If you do find a solution please pass it along as I am trying to put off that expensive rebuild too.

Bought my first Targa in 1985. On my 3rd top rebuild...
It''s a "thing". this happens about every 10-15 years. Find a good upholstery shop and replace the lining. You can buy a new one for about $120, but its a huge PIA to do yourself.
Just a cost of doing business.

We bought new in 1984.
Only rebuilt once in 2004 but sits in garage mostly. I never fold the top. just take it off and set in garage before leaving.
One of the advantages of being in So Cal.

The inner lining is available for any dealer. It's an easy DIY but there are a lot of very small screws. Just take you time and follow your nose. I think it took me 2 days but I went slowly and not full time and allowed the glue to dry.

I used the 3M product for interior headlining as mentioned earlier in this post. Only the outer sides were drooping on our top. It was messy but I followed directions and it looks ALMOST perfect now. The spray tends to spray further and wider so you need to point close to the material. A brush on product would be neater to use,
