If less is more to Mr ****, he would stroke out in my car. He has a long way to go to lighten up his car....a looooong way.

Some tips on weight reduction to Mr. **** will be greatly appreciated!

His plan was to keep all the metal body panels and glasses though for personal reasons.

The car was built to be a fun, raw, focused weekend / track car. It was not meant to be the lightest nor the fastest car out there.

Don't get me wrong, the car looks fantastic and I'm sure drives well.

Weight loss can be achieved on a host of fronts that don't involve fenders or glass. Mr **** went far beyond what I did in many areas.

I deleted or modified the following:

Deleted: A/C, engine heat blower, footwell blowers and carpeted covers, freshair box and blower and controls, center console, auto-heat controls, stock door cards, rear seats and belts, stock carpet, engine sound pad, bumperettes, rear valance, rockers, fog lights, windshield water bottle, spare tire, stock decklid and grill, stock tail lights, stock steering wheel ...

I've gone to using the A/C blower as my fresh air blower with some ducting mods, backdated heat with manual pulls and flapper boxes, 69R tail lights, fiberglass duck tail with mesh grill, Perlon felt carpet w/sound padding, 930 underhood water bottle, MOMO Prototipo....

Some of the above and some other mods are more performance and aesthetics oriented and not really weight loss oriented. The car is a sleeper on roids. In California we can't really mod our engines and pass with the smog ***** so adding lightness is a well explored option.

Raw and tight, neck snapping, weekend road trip, assault vehicle is a good description. It is used strictly for date night and vacations.

You cant knock owner's enthusiasm for his car and sounded like solid loyalty to the Porche brand. I am glad he didnt go "all Singer" on body work, other cosmetic changes.
