But the looks of the Prototipo for projects like the RS and RSR, just looks better, imho of course. The only thing missing was a thicker grip. This MW steering wheel will feel better.

yep, same reason I want one, with my arthritis, a thicker grip would be nice.

the Momo Competition and Monte Carlo used to be it during the 80's and 90s for a modern look.
Now it is all about the Prototipo for a retro look.

And to compare it with the Prototipo (I still need to decide on what horn button to use... silver or color crest)

That's a lot of parts for a single steering wheel project lol. What are you doing with the stuff you aren't going to use?

And if you preferred black spokes, why didn't you get the Proto in black? It's readily available.

IMO, the silver spokes don't fit well in these cars, but it's obviously a very personal decision. I wanted the MW wheel in black, but all that was left was sliver. Didn't like it that much to compromise so I went with a black proto and colored porsche horn button to make it look close to original.

It is interesting seeing the wheels side by side. Never seen that posted before. The leather on the MW looks great. I like it.

I wanted a thicker grip and black spokes... I can always paint the spokes. I will install it and then decide what I will do... The center horn buttons... I have different ones... again, trying to decide which one to go with.

I also suffer from champagne taste on a beer budget.

While I like that wheel, it looks a little too modern for my taste in a Carrera.

That's a good point. It also makes Magnes's seem much more affordable.

I like the thick steering wheel idea, but can not bring myself to pay for a patina as new Not to mention, the signature to me is worth as much as Joe Blow's off the street.

I'd take this over the Magnus wheel any day. I had one on Ruby. It was perfect.

I still don't get the MW thing at all, but I don't really get autographs in general.

I have one too(mine is out of a Ruf 930), as for the MW wheel, like Wachuko, it isn't because of the MW name, but the style & functional fit.

LOL, I have a even bigger choice of wheels for my cars, like to be able to change as my mood changes, and wouldn't surprised if Wachuko has the same thought process.
