scissor lift

I'm currently installing a two post lift in my garage ... i can't wait to not have to crawl under my cars.
After pulling my 3.2 out twice and installing a 3.6 it will be a piece of cake with a lift from now on !
There's a thread on Maxjacks somewhere, looks like a good alternative for low ceilings ...
Cheers

scissor lift
I purchased an Atlas scissor lift and it worked well for my Porsche. However, the arm spans were to narrow to lift my Honda Accord or Subaru Legacy. It barely was able to lift the wife's Prius. All these cars have lift points out by the outer edge. I ended up buying arms from bendpak that were longer and now find the lift works well for all the cars. The Bendpak arms were very expensive.
With that said, if you plan to lift other cars besides your Porsche I can't recommend the Atlas.

Pricey but worth it BendPac SP7-X. Full 68" rise and if you place the car on 4 inch blocks you can get 72" full open center. I was able to drop my engine and do everything I needed to build a full track car. Also lifts 7000 pounds so most vehicles can be lifted.
I recessed mine in the floor so I can drive over it.
