no start

Default no start

car runs great. once in a while and more frequintly. turn key and nothing. cam hear fuel pump. radio everything. just a click. sounds like coming from front?? any thoughts

sounds like weak battery connections or starter motor is going out.

Could be the solenoid in the starter motor is weak and intermittently does not engage. That happened to me.

Just a single click? Could be low battery or bad connections, but I'd lean towards failing starter motor. My car did that same thing and it was the starter--if I gave the starter a good whack (very hard to reach!) it would then start.

Had a similar issues wit my 914. Try jumping your starter (make sure you're in neutral), check your connections (grounds especially), and clean connections to/from the battery. That'll help you diagnose. For me, it was the starter, but could be as simple as a loose or corroded connection. It could also be your ignition switch, but that's if everything else checks out.
