Post Missing Heater Lever Light?

There is a piece missing off the floor in between the seats, slightly in font of and toward the passenger side in front of the heater levers. It looks like a square shaped base for a light or switch but whatever it was it's missing. Anyone know what this is? The base is black plastic with what looks to be copper electrical contacts? If you know, please attach picture to reply to confirm.

I was guessing??? Heater Lever Light?

Actually, I believe its lit whenever the headlights are on, at least I think that's how it works.

the bulb is the same as the ones that light the instruments - the ones WITHOUT the bayonet. I think its Sylvania 2721, but I'm working strictly from memory. they're readily available at any autoparts store (pepboys, autozone, kragen, etc.)
