Default Formal Intro to 911 Forum

A few months ago I posted a thread about purchasing a 911. Well I pulled the trigger and finally got around to posting pictures. Its a 1984 47k miles I have the history from new. Was previously parked for about 12-15 years outside! Held up very well. The interior was actually perfect but the seats were so dry and hard as soon as I sat to move the car cracked the seat leather.

I really lucked out on this find and is actually the same car I used to drive by when I was in high school never thought I'd pick this exact one up. I've been driving it around for a while and absolutely love it.

Had to replace quite a few things to get it running but runs great now. Still needs some small clutch adjustment but that will come this winter.

Recaro seats are temporary I picked them up here on Rennlist. Have not decided yet on what seats I want to go with. I really love the new Recaro CS seats, but cant decide other option is getting the originals reupholstered. I removed them since they were ripped dust would go everywhere.

i find it somewhat odd that none of the three Porsches in the pic have the original OE wheels.

Anyway looks like a nice find in decent shape.

Nice work.

The one you see on the gray 944 is a spare I was having a tire replaced. I do have the cookie cutters for the 928 as well. I wish I knew what wheels came with my 911. At some point I think I would like to restore it to original.

oh those were yours ? l thought a delaer was selling them that way.

I bet that cab would have been sold with Fuchs, but the prices of these have gone crazy as people are trying to gouge each other, what used to be 1200 at swap meets are now 3,000

Yeah, my father ones a small car dealer so I get to store my projects inside. Pretty much have it filled with all my cars on the inside the Black 951 is to the left but you cant see it there. Yeah that's what I figured about the Fuchs I'm hoping I can find a decent set at some point. The BBS rims it has right now are one piece so they aren't the nicer set either. Oh well.
