you don't say whether you have a coupe/targa/cab. the targa & cabs have narrower footwells due to the added bracing and I remember reading that you have to be very careful when mounting a dead pedal, as there are some things that run behind the carpet in the footwell.

I added pedals and dead pedal to my 78 SC Targa....no problem.

See post above for additional details.

I've got a turbo look coupe. As far as looks go, I'm leaning towards the billet ones from AJUSA.

thanks for all of the advice!

I would love to find a replacement for the factory plastic pedal, which looks like it just asking to fatigue apart. But in actuality I think this rarely happens. I like the wings pedal (large size) a lot, for all the reasons mentioned. The best dead pedal I have found is rennline's; nice and big and easy to mount. AJUSA used to sell a sheet metal replica RSR dead pedal but their supplier apparently dried up.

Oh and I don't know what might be running behind the panels of a targa or cab, but when mounting a dead pedal in the coupe, I used pop rivets not sheet metal screws since they poke directly into the front left wheel well. Not sure a tire would ever make contact in those exact areas but don't like the idea of sharp points aimed at my MPSCs.
