Air Cooled Bubble?
Mixed results at Monaco too, quite a few failed to reach reserves/estimates resulting in no sale. Sobering of the market is the correct term as some estimations were just silly such as this Peter Klasen 007 - 65 which was estimated at 300-400,000 euro but went for €75,000 ish + fees.

An 89 speedster only brought 128,000 euro, maybe more indicative.
A RUF turbo had the buyers' interest at 224,000 Euro though.
Since the upper segments of the car market seem to follow the art market this is an interesting story. It may not involve anyone on this forum but it's interesting. I could see the same thing happening with some Ferraris. Porsches? Not so much.

A few crazy examples of asking prices in Canada.
1987 911 nothing special 87,000 miles asking CAD$115,000

1992 C2 107,000km asking CAD$93,000
http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/Porsche/...&orup=28_15_75
1988 911 81,000km asking US$80,000

There is no way those cars will get sold remotely close to asking price.

I definately see a correction. Cars are sitting a lot longer and you are seeing price reductions on the normal 911s.
I sold my 997 TT earlier this year and have been watching the market carefully. I am going to take a wait and see approach. A year ago any G-50 car would be sold in a day or two, now that's not the case.
