I removed the muffler the PO installed on my '85 Targa. I tried to install an OEM muffler I bought used from a fellow PCA member only to realize I don't have the OEM muffler bracket. Are there any issues if I run my Porsche without the muffler until I get a muffler bracket?

It will run....loudly and with a loss of torque in the mid range but it will run.

Only that the neighbors might put a burning bag full of dog dirt on your front porch... (or maybe on the front of your Porsche).

i realy dont think you are going to be able to stand the noise. i think you are going to need ear plugs just to start the darn thing.

Thanks everyone! It turns out my inspection was due to expire yesterday so I slapped my old exhaust back on and she passed with flying colors! I'll keep it on until I get the bracket.
