Default Help 2005 911 IMS Question

I'm looking at a clean 2005 911 for sale by owner. How do I determine if the IMS replacement is the simple type ... or the one where I have to tear down the entire engine. Apparently this question has different answers for 2005 models.

Thanks in advance.

Found some answers elsewhere but viewpoints still appreciated.

Read up on this tech article here about the IMS bearing. It provides great literature about it.
