911 purchase guide for new member
Hello there,
First off I’ve got to get this out of the way.
As a native French speaker I will occasionally make mistakes so please bear with me.
I am a somewhat new member and have been lurking on this forum for quite a while reading you guys valuable info on 911s.
The 911 being my first Porsche I am facing an interesting choice/question:
Should I get a 997 s/4s ? or a Base 991 Carrera would do ?
I am coming from 2008 BMW 335 xi, 2013 BMW 335i xDrive and I have been utterly disappointed in the way new 3 series handle (they have gotten soft and less surefooted)
Performance/handling is my primary focus here.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Yes... look in the water-cooled sites, but it's a matter of money.
Typically, the newer 911 is the better, and the 991 is better than a 997, but not 40% better. The 997 is a really great car, so for the difference, a clean used 997 Carrara S is a very good alternative to a new base model 991...
I bet you'll love either of them.
