Post Turbo look option

Looking at a few cars, two of which are factory widebodies, and I am unsure of what this option is worth in the used market.

How much over the standard Carrera would the factory Turbo look option usually fetch? Couple thousand? As much as five? More? Less?

Thanks.

This used to be a HIGHLY desired option, but I hear less and less in regards to it lately.

Myself, I would LOVE to own a factory widebody, non-turbo.

My best "guestimate" would be 2-4K...I couldn't imagine it bringing it 5K or more??

Anything's possible, and of course this is dependent on condition, mileage, any other options. I believe all the factory widebodies had 4-piston Brembo calipers and HD (Turbo) suspension?

...I know my buddie's widebody had all that.

I always thought it would be cool to have a factory widebody NA and take off the rear wing, for an older "C2S" look.

I've got a 87 Factory Turbo Wide Body Cabriolet, and I love it. I've used it for DE's and it is great having the turbo brakes. As to establishing Value, that's really hard to do, especially for the Turbo Look Cabriolets. There were only 19 sold in 87. To me, the value of Turbo look, along with the cab was about an $8K adder.

I also got a 87 Turbo Look Cab, in 1999 I started to look for a 930 Turbo, after talked to many Porsche owner at work, they recomended Turbo Look due to easy to drive and not less maintanance. I took their advice since I know not thing about Porsche. Now I am happy that I own a piece of art

I saw somewhere it could be as much as $10,000. The excellence market update for the 911 stated so...oh well...for whatever that's worth.

I had an '84 factory Turbo look that I bought and shortly thereafter sold a few years ago. I actually e-mailed Bruce Anderson to inquire about value added. He seemed to think it would add up to $5k over a stock bodied car. But as others have pointed out, they're value may be decreasing a bit. I can't believe it has fallen below $2500 over a stock bodied car though. If they're in excellent shape, they're pretty rare so I tend to believe they're still closer to the $5k premium.

Great car though...I kinda wish I'd kept it!
